SQL Server Configuration Manager not showing in Start Menu

One day,I planned to change SQL Server port number using SQL Server Configuration Manager So i tried to open SQL Server Configuration Manager from Start Menu but i could not find it in Start Menu .it is missing from my laptop’s start menu.So i decided to open it using command prompt.

In order to open SQL Server Configuration Manager using command prompt ,first we have to understand SQL Server Configuration Manager file name for each versions of MS SQL Server.Please check the below list for SQL Server Configuration Manager file with it’s corresponding SQL Server versions

SQL Server 2008 SQLServerManager10.msc
SQL Server 2012SQLServerManager11.msc
SQL Server 2014SQLServerManager12.msc
SQL Server 2016SQLServerManager13.msc
SQL Server 2017SQLServerManager14.msc
SQL Server 2019SQLServerManager15.msc

I am using SQL Server 2008 R2 .So i am going to open SQL Server Configuration Manager using Command Prompt with file name SQLServerManager10.msc .Please check below images .i will explain step by step .

When i press ENTER key then SQL Server Configuration Manager window will open as shown below

Now we can change SQL Server port number using SQL Server Configuration Manager
